I don't even like BBQ sauce, and I LOVE this place. When I head out to Wisconsin to visit my family, Famous Daves is always on the list of dinner spots. This place is a meat lovers paradise, with a million different sauces to season each dish. I usually go for the Ultimate BBQ burger, which features a hamburger patty, brisket and jalapeno bacon. It makes my arteries clog with joy. Each meal comes with a delicious buttery corn bread muffin, and a choice of additional sides - I am partial to the dunkin' apples. The service has always been friendly and great when we've visited, and I always look forward to going back!

Love the ribs!! Their brisket and pulled pork sandwich are otherwise is also tasty. They have several sauces from mild to Devils Spit. My wife always trys to steal my corn on the cob and the corn bread they are that good. You can get a sampler tray that comes out on a garbage can lid. Pretty cool. My guest from Norway thought is was great.

Love the food. I wish they were closer to me. Chopped pork is awesome. I dinged them for service. They didn't tell me the lunch specials or ask me if I wanted the lunch portion. Bread pudding is a winner.

Been to famous daves twice and the food always leaves me feeling slightly unsatisfied. The meat was a little dry, but the sauces are always great, just like the service. Our waiter, Cyrus was one of the friendliest waiters I've had in a while. Sides were good, especially the mac and cheese, but I'm searching for better bbq from a bbq place.

Nice place for lunch. The food is great and the service was too. Our server refilled my cup before I ran out. I recommend the lunch specials.

The restaurant looked kind of run down, but the waitress was super friendly and helpful and sweet. The cajun chicken sandwich was very good, but there was way to many friend onions. The garlic mash was really good.

We went to eat at this location for first time and had a great experience! Very friendly waitress Rachel who was very helpful when I asked about certain items on menu. The food was delicious. My husband got the bbq pulled pork and was happy with it. I got the bbq baby back ribs and there were amazing! Super moist just enough sauce and fell off the bone! Highly recommend and will be coming back again!

Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5 When I first was brought here, I have to admit, I had my prejudices. Coming from nyc, we have everyone putting up worlds like "famous" "world-famous" "best" "greatest" etc etc, everywhere. And that usually amounts to subpar-awful food. You rarely find a place like Dave's which truly does deserve to be famous. Walking in this place looked like a pretty standard bbq joint. A few bottles of sauces on the table, roll of paper towels, and a big menu. My opinion stayed its course on this location as franchised bbq. Service was quick and friendly (could have been because this place was practically deserted). And then our wings arrived. They were....ok. Again, nothing special. Tasted like simple fried wings with some walmart brand sauce tossed on top. It wasn't particularly juicy or dry. eh. And then....the RIBS came. OMG the ribs. Might be the best ribs I've ever had. Literally fell off the bones. (though my neighbor's ribs weren't as tender). They had an amazing balance of smokiness, sweetness, and tang-iness I just haven't had before. I could have these ribs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And then some more ribs for snacking in-between the meals and still not get tired of them. (my ribs, not my neighbors!)

Tried to check in, but said I was 1.5 miles away. Needs some tweaking. Server was Awesome! Typical Famous Daves stuff, but new citrus menu items looked interesting. Tried the salmon w broccoli, grilled pinapple. Pretty good for salmon in the midwest. Liked having a healthy option here. The BBQ is definately better (georgia pulled pork sandwich-dry, Memphis style).

Well I've eaten here twice. Once in Mn and the other in WI and I will say that the food is pretty good for a chain. Being from KC I have my idea of BBQ and now that I live in Austin I have another view. However, I will say this the food is pretty darn good, consistent and affordable. I'll return as I really do like their wings!

If you are craving legit BBQ in Wisconsin, Famous Dave's is as close as you will get! Their pulled pork and brisket are tender and delicious. All of their sides and sauces are tasty too! Highly Recommend.

Ok, first I have to confess that I am a barbeque snob/fiend, and I love Texas barbeque the best (a trip to the Salt Lick is the closest I can come to heaven on earth). Having said that, though, Famous Dave's does a really fine job of offering their own style of barbeque at fair prices. Personally, I love their brisket (beef, for those of you who aren't as familiar with barbeque, slow cooked for hours) - it's smoky, tasty, moist, and delicious. My guy likes their pulled pork better, also quite tasty and moist. Oddly, I don't like the ribs quite as much - just a personal preference, since they are moist and fall-off-the-bone. Their chicken wings are great, and they have happy hour specials on them that make them a great deal. My favorite item here though is something you wouldn't expect at a barbeque place - Dave's Sassy Salad. It's a salad (decent greens) with bacon bits (real ones) shredded carrot, cheese, and topped with your choice of brisket or pulled pork (or chicken). I don't love the barbeque dressing it comes with, so I have them leave it off, and get ranch dressing on the side. Dave's makes their own dressings, and the ranch is really good - herby, fresh, not too salty. They also have 6 different sauces on each table, so you can flavor whatever meat you get how you like. The service is always good, food arrives promptly, and the prices are reasonable for the amount of meat you get.
